In this two-hour course, students cover material from both Step 1 and Step 2 in just one semester instead of two. This course provides students with an introduction to mathematics and science teaching as a career. Discussions include standards-based lesson design, various teaching strategies and classroom management strategies. Students will learn various teaching methods designed to meet instructional goals and learner outcomes. Students develop and teach three inquiry-based math or science lessons to a middle school class and perform two classroom observations under the supervision of a TNT sponsored mentor teacher.
