Dr. Harris is the Meadows Chair for Excellence in Education and Regents Professor of Teacher Education and Administration in the College of Education. Her role in the project is Co-director from the College of Education.She has  been both an elementary and a secondary school teacher and served on the teacher education faculties at Kansas State University and the University of North Dakota before coming to UNT.She has also served as dean of a College of Dducation and directed quite a few projects that involve collaboration between universities and school districts.
