If you are an undergraduate student interested in teaching high school math or science, then Teach North Texas is for you.
TNT lets interested students explore the teaching profession in an initial one-credit hour introductory course followed by a two-credit hour introductory course that can be taken as early as freshman year. Once in the program, students take courses that emphasize field experiences, teaching strategies, and concepts related specifically to the subjects the students will teach. Another key aspect of the program is student interaction with Master Teachers. Master Teachers are are experienced high school teachers hired by UNT to teach courses, supervise field work, and offer mentorship and real-world advice to our future teachers.
After graduation, the program offers professional support and development, networking opportunities, and access to top-of-the-line teaching materials.
